Workshops at Children’s park in Sayeda Zeinab (Wall Paintings for the park).

Thinking Through Simplified Conceptualism in Contemporary Art The workshop was not about teaching children how to draw, but how to think through matter. In contemporary art, simplified conceptualism is not superficial simplification. It is the reduction of a large idea into a small, tangible act: a torn paper, a footprint, a repeated mark, an assemblage of found materials.Children learned that the artwork is not a decoration for the wall, but a conceptual decision: Why do I place this material here? What do I want to say about my place? Thus, the wall in Sayeda Zeinab Park shifted from a solid barrier to a collective thinking space – where the monumental 24-meter wall by the professional artist dialogues with the small, spontaneous marks of children, becoming one conversation about belonging, play, and memory.
