Earth Mythology

The project positions Egyptian reality as a theoretical construct, not as geographic given. The city operates as both subject and methodology. “My city” is invoked not as biographical origin, but as a site of continuous inscription. Symbols are not recalled as heritage; they are activated as contemporary operators. The work employs media not as tools of representation, but as conditions that register cultural, social, and economic variables. Mythology is treated not as ancient narrative, but as the ongoing production of meaning through material and symbolic exchange. The inquiry locates itself at the intersection of earth and myth: where geological substrate meets symbolic superstructure. The objective is not to illustrate the city, but to diagram its operative fictions.Earth Mythology proposes that locality is not inherited. It is manufactured through successive acts of symbolic labor. The work documents the process by which territory becomes discourse.
