The project began as a failure to represent. How do you draw a space that refuses to be framed? The desert is not a subject; it is a condition. It consumes the viewer and the viewed. I worked with the desert as a body without organs following Deleuze. A surface of intensities. The sand is skin that remembers every wind. The sky is a membrane between what is visible and what is unbearable to see. The stars are not jewels. They are punctures. Holes in the fabric of night through which another light leaks. The moon is not pure. It is a wound that heals every 28 days.In this work, the horizon is not a line. It is a trap. The moment you see it, you are already lost. The project does not document the desert. It performs desertification – the slow erasure of meaning under exposure. The body of the desert is my body when language fails. It is the space left after all metaphors collapse
