As a young artist, George Fikry expresses the substance of will and ambition. He is one of the young artists who emerged from the womb of the Youth Salon; he was able to fly high in a short time, armed with value-content in his work, not by merely pursuing the prevailing aesthetics.
As a painter, George Fikry retains the modern mastery of painting; he does not concern himself with chromatic variation or the interplay of light, but with clear, sharp lines throughout the work. And when he concentrates, we find him rising above dimensional projections, viewing them from a tower, declaring the unity of elements until they vanish, so that we are no longer deceived by the contradiction between the living and the dead, the movable and the constant, the temporary and the permanent, and the point and the circle.

إنما هو فنان برز من بطن ” صالون الشباب “، واستطاع في زمن قصير أن يطير الفضاء وأن يتسلح بمحتوى ” القيمة ” في العمل، وليس برصد ” الجميل ” السائد.وجورج فكري كفنان مصور يحتفظ بملكة الرسم الحديث، وهو إذ ذاك لا يأبه بالا للتباين اللوني، أو لتماهي الضوء في بعضه بعضا – وإنما تبدو ” صورته ” وقد اختتمت لمحبات ” المطلق ” في البناء بكامله. وهو حين يتكرس لـ ” بلاد الصورة ” الفنية، نجده يرتفع فوق مساقط الأبعاد، ويراها من مستوى تلك العلبة المتصرفة التي تعلن عن تولد العناصر في ذات بعضها حتى التلاشي
إذ ذاك لا تلهينا تلك الحالة المفارقة ” بين الحي والميت، وبين المتحرك والثابت، وبين الوقتي والدائم وبين النقطة والدائرة “
